CLAV Broccoli Extract: Full of Important Minerals

Broccoli has been a proven superfood for years. It is incredibly healthy and full of the valuable minerals and fibre that we need for our wellbeing. These include potassium, calcium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, carotene, sodium and vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6 and vitamin E.

Broccoli is an integral part of many meals and diets because it contains only 25 calories per 100 g. This makes broccoli one of the lowest-calorie foods. The vegetable can be eaten raw, but it can also be cooked, boiled or roasted – which makes many delicious recipes possible.

Additionally, scientific studies have shown that water-soluble nutrients such as vitamin C and minerals are largely preserved when steamed, whereas they are dissolved in the cooking water when boiled.

So if you want to get the most nutrients out of broccoli, you should eat it raw whenever possible, rather than cooking it. At higher temperatures, most of the nutrients are lost, leaving only a nutrient-poor plant.

Broccoli extract with 10% sulforaphane

Another important ingredient of broccoli, which unfortunately is not particularly heat resistant, is sulphoraphane – a very powerful indirect antioxidant. Chemically, sulphoraphane belongs to the group of mustard oils and, unlike vitamin C or vitamin E, shows its antioxidant abilities by activating free radicals indirectly via enzymes.

This effect makes sulphoraphane very valuable for the body.

CLAV BROCCOLI Extract includes 10 % sulphoraphane. This means that each capsule contains 100 mg of sulphoraphane per 1,000 mg of broccoli extract. With only one serving you get all the important nutrients and ingredients of broccoli without having to eat 2.5 kg of it.
